Child Abuse Dissemination Report – John Olla
Today 15th September 2022, I presented our research on Children as Victims of Physical Abuse through the “Act Hub Africa” Facebook page. We conducted the research in over 20 public primary schools in Ibadan North, Ibadan South East and North East Local Governments, where we spoke to over 1000 children as our respondents. The research adopted an ethnographic method to make the children relaxed and playful while we asked them simple but salient questions that would bring out the answers to the already prepared questions.
Some areas of focus include Perpetrators of Physical abuse, Tools of Abuse and Points of Attack.

The endpoint of the research is to develop advocacy tools that can serve as input to policy formulation in education and learning in Oyo State and Nigeria. During the presentation, the team lead of Act Hub Africa called on other organizations and stakeholders to collaborate to develop what can be used to engage the government as IEC materials.
